Former Mayor of Pune died of cardiac arrest

Pune – Chanchala Kondre, former mayor of Pune died of strong cardiac arrest here today. She was 42 years old. She was hospitalized in a hospital at Kharadi, where she countered heart attack while sleeping and died, her family informed media. She had won from Mundhva – Hadpsar seat on NCP ticket, she became mayor in 2013.

She was known for her organizational skills and got the chance to be mayor when she was elected for the first time. Her father in law Kailas Kondre was also former mayor of Pune and was known as a close aide of NCP chief Sharad Pawar. Political circle expressed shock over her untimely demise.
