BJP wins both Gujarat and Himachal, with major setback in Gujarat

Gandhinagar – Gujarati people have given a strong message, loud and clear, to both BJP and Congress. Don’t take us for granted, that is the message for BJP! BJP retained its strongest hold but could not manage comfortable three digit figure. Whereas its message for Congress is work harder to earn our trust!

Final tally is 99 seats for BJP, 80 for Congress while others bagged 3 seats. Surprisingly voters opting for NOTA is much higher, more than half a million. These results are described as moral booster for Congress. BJP has managed to win the state for sixth consecutive time, is a big achievement in itself. However, it has defied BJP’s high hopes of winning 150 seats, set none other than party president Amit Shah! Credit for BJP’s win will be given to none other than Narendra Modi-Amit Shah duo. Amit Shah looked after election management, taking it to last voter, whereas Modi devoted significant time for campaigning. He held rally in every district of the state, making this as his own battle. His efforts have brought the expected results.

On the other hand, Congress was in haywire state before three months of election, but credit is given to Rahul Gandhi for doing almost impossible for the party. By giving a tough fight and making his presence felt by aggressive campaigning, Rahul Gandhi has succeeded his image of ‘reluctant politician’ and emerged as a leader willing to fight from the front with required consistency. Rahul Gandhi has accepted the defeat and congratulated Congress workers for their spirited fight and BJP for its win.

BJP won 44 seats out of 68 seats but its chief ministerial candidate Prem Kumar Dhumal lost from Sujanpur seat. BJP is expected to name its chief minister soon.
