Sangli – Founder of Bharati Vidyapeeth, ex minister and veteran Congress leader Patangrao Kadam’s mortal remains was cremated today in the premises of Sonhira Sugar Factory in Vaangi, Sangli district. Several important leaders including Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Ashok Chavan, Sushilkumar Shinde, Prithviraj Chavan were present on this occasion. Kadam died yesterday owing to long illness.
Thousands of his supporters paid their homage to their beloved leader. Patangrao Kadam was considered as a heavy weight leader in state politics. His name was considered many a times for the top post in the state but he could never become chief minister. However, his clout in the state politics remain unchanged.
